Baseball: Libertyville leaves Arizona with win

Libertyville 14, Littleton 3: On Friday, the Wildcats wrapped up their Spring Break trip to Arizona with a five-inning win over their opponent from Colorado.

Tim Jean (1-for-3) and Brendan Bazar (1-for-1) each had 3 RBI for Libertyville (5-3), which went 3-2 on its trip. Ben Arnold was 2-for-2, while Jean and Griffin Murphy each had doubles. The Wildcats got 2 stolen bases apiece from Tommy Rigali (1-for-2, 2 RBI), Tanner Kelly and Ben Lopez. Kevin Aquadro was 1-for-1 with 2 RBI.

Ryan Klainos pitched 3 innings for the win, allowing 2 runs (1 earned) and 1 hit, while striking out five and walking two.

Libertyville returns to action on Tuesday, when it hosts Warren to open North Suburban Conference action.
