Prospect Heights group forms to support home rule referendum

A group of citizens of Prospect Heights have formed a committee, Citizens of Prospect Heights for Home Rule, to advocate for a "yes" vote for home rule in the Nov. 6 election.

The Prospect Heights City Council voted in July to place the home rule question on the ballot.

Citizens of Prospect Heights for Home Rule has a website at prospectheightshomerule.com, where they have more information about home rule, the campaign committee and testimonials in favor of home rule.

The committee will hold an event for home rule supporters and citizens interested in learning more at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, at the Prospect Heights Park District's Gary Morava Recreation Center, 110 W. Camp McDonald Road in Prospect Heights.
