Sample craft beers at Thirsty Thursday at The Depot

Beer fans will have a chance to sample six craft beers at Thirsty Thursday from 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, at The Depot, 319 N. River St. in East Dundee.

Diamond Jim's Gas Grill will be providing craft beers from Boulevard Brewing Co., Kansas City, Missouri; Sierra Nevada Brewery, Chico, California, and Revolution Brewing Co., Chicago, Illinois. Craft beers include Boulevard's "Tropical Pale Ale," a brew with bold tropical fruit flavor and aroma and "Ginger Lemon Radler," a zesty refreshing take on mixing beer with lemonade; Sierra Nevada's "Otra Vez," a traditional refreshing gose style beer that combines prickly pear cactus with a hint of grapefruit and "Oktoberfest," an authentic festival beer deep golden in color with a rich malt complexity. The craft brews also will include Revolution's "Fist City," a pale ale brewed with two row and red wheat with specialty malt and "Oktoberfest," a classic German-style beer with a pleasant, toasty malt flavor.

Visitors can enjoy the craft beers for $2 per 4 oz. sample or $5 per 12 oz. glass.

Live music will be provided by college crowd favorite Pat McCurdy, a singer-songwriter with an unusual off-beat sense of humor. There also will be free adult yard games including badminton; corn hole; lawn twister and "Yardzee." Food will be available for purchase from Dukes BBQ, Dundee Depot Dogs and Rosie O'Hare's Public House.

Admission is free but those choosing to drink must be 21 years old and purchase a wristband from the Dundee Foundation for $1. No outside alcohol will be allowed.

Presented by The Dundee Foundation and Neu Family Dental as part of the 2016 Sizzlin' Summer Events, Thirsty Thursdays are held from 6 to 10 p.m. at The Depot, 319 N. River St., East Dundee. Discover Dundee 2016 Sizzlin' Summer Events

The Depot has hosted events: each week throughout the summer months. They've included Motor Mondays, Tail Waggin' Tuesdays, Wine Down Wednesdays and Thirsty Thursdays. In addition The Depot Market is held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays through Oct. 29 and the Farmers Market is held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sundays, through Sept. 25.
