52 Catholic schools in Joliet Diocese to reopen this fall

The 52 Catholic schools in the Diocese of Joliet will reopen this fall, Bishop Richard Pates announced Tuesday.

The bishop has appointed a task force headed by Rev. Burke Masters to prepare the schools so each will comply with provisions to make the school safe in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Pates said the reopening of diocesan parishes has gone well and a similar certification process will be developed for the schools.
