Baseball: Waubonsie Valley, Neuqua Valley, Timothy Christian win

Waubonsie Valley 4, Naperville Central 3:

Jim Keppler's RBI single in the bottom of the sixth inning gave the Warriors (3-10, 2-5) the game-winning run in their DuPage Valley Conference victory. Complete-game winning pitcher Alex Lemmons struck out seven and allowed 3 hits.

Neuqua Valley 3, WW South 0:

Anthony Sterchele pitched 5⅔ scoreless innings and Jake Karaba closed with 3 strikeouts and no hits allowed for the Wildcats (12-0, 7-0 DuPage Valley). Adam Graham had a double and 2 hits. Caleb Larson took the loss for the Tigers (4-8, 2-6) despite allowing only 3 hits in 7 innings.

Timothy Christian 6, Fenton 4:

The Trojans (8-7, 3-3) scored all their runs in the first inning to win in the Metro Suburban. Trent Marrera and winning pitcher Thomas Becvar each had 2 RBI. Jose Alvarez, Tim Beecroft and Mateo Valadez had 2 hits for Fenton (2-9, 1-6).

York 7, Glenbard West 6:

The Dukes (9-4, 3-2) held off a late Glenbard West (5-6, 3-4) rally to win two of three in the West Suburban Silver series. Ian Steinorth and Elliott Achepohl had 2 hits while Ryan Ross drove in 2 runs. Kellen Gilmartin pitched 6 innings to earn the win. Ryan Petersen went 3-for-4 for Glenbard West.

Naperville North 5, Lake Park 3:

Brendan Lacey had 2 hits and 2 RBI for the Huskies (7-4, 1-3) in their DuPage Valley win. Mark McCabe picked up the victory and Jared Dunnett the save. Paul Beverly went 3-for-4 with 2 RBI for Lake Park (8-4, 5-2).

Downers South 3, Addison Trail 0:

Nick Stacey fired a 4-hitter with 4 strikeouts and a walk for the Mustangs (8-3, 4-0 West Suburban Gold). Stacey, Brett Riegler and Cameron Crowley each drove in a run.

Downers North 4, Hinsdale Central 1:

The Trojans (6-7, 6-2) swept in the West Suburban Silver, breaking a 1-1 tie with 3 runs in the bottom of the fourth. Nick Bacarella was the complete-game winning pitcher.
