Economy is great?

On Feb. 23, a letter writer states that the current economy is the best it has been in 40 years. What country is he referring to? We are experiencing increasing inflation, gas prices are up, the southern border is bleeding illegal immigrants.

I could go on. Someone shut down pipelines when we were oil independent. Someone is ignoring the crisis at the southern border.

Does he really believe the economy is the best it has been in 40 years?
