Follow the money being sent out of U.S.

Recently, President Donald Trump announced he was cutting $560 million in aid to Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador. The Democrats started screaming that this would make matters worse, and more people would come to this country illegally because we cut off aid. This is not the reason to leave.

The reason more people are coming in droves is, first, there has been a severe drought in the region and second, our asylum laws are broken. All you have to do is drag a child to the southern border and you are in the country.

The third and most important reason is money. The Central American countries are not that upset about President Donald Trump's stopping of the $560 million because of remittances. This is the money immigrants send home every week and month to their home country.

How's this for foreign aid? Families sent $4.8 billion in remittances to the Honduras in 2018, $5.4 billion to El Salvador and $9.5 billion to Guatemala. About $60 billion a year is sent to Mexico in remittances. This is money leaving our country.

So, when all these Democrats wringing their hands and cry for people who claim they are escaping their countries because of the danger, it's a farce. They are here for the money.
