Auroran named top Lions Club member

An Auroran has received the Aurora Noon Lions Club's top recognition, the 2019 Distinguished Service Award.

Susan Koepke was honored at the community-service group's annual charter night dinner at Two Brothers restaurant in Aurora Nov. 12.

A repeat winner of the Distinguished Service award, Koepke joined Aurora Noon Lions in 2018. She coordinated the charter night celebration, edits the club's newsletter and is active in fundraisers including pancake breakfasts and pizza-pasta dinners.

Founded in 1922, Aurora Noon Lions Club meets on the first and third Mondays of the month at Luigi's Pizza, 732 Prairie St. in Aurora.
