Lake County Fair goes out with a bang

It's easy to say Sunday's Lake County Fair went out with a bang - the final Grandstand Arena event was the Crashfest Demolition Derby.

Crashfest included team demolition derby and various classes of derbies for compact, full-size, amateur, weld class and front-wheel drive. Fans also got a glimpse of extreme trailer racing.

Also at the fair, the Blue Ribbon Stage hosted The Decades Show and talent competitions. There was plenty of action in the livestock area, including the Master Showman Competition, Banana Derby races, Cowpie Bingo and 4-H goat obstacle course.

Cowboy Up!, Potts & Pans Steelband, Slam Funk, The Blue Marlin, Svelte Bobby & The Soul Fixers and Chicago Latin Groove rounded out this year's live entertainment.
