Boutique features items made by refugee women
At a time when hundreds of thousands of refugee families across the globe have been displaced by war, political conflict or persecution, an opportunity to help them is coming to Glen Ellyn.
S.O.A.R. (Strength, Optimism, Ambition and Resilience), a boutique show featuring handmade items by refugee artisans, will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 6, at Re:new Store and Studio, 483 N. Main St., Glen Ellyn. Tickets for the event are $10; to purchase, visit eventbright.com.
