One driver seriously injured in truck crash on Kautz Road

A glass delivery truck crashed into the rear of a semitrailer truck late Tuesday morning on Kautz Road, according to St. Charles police.

Both vehicles were heading south on Kautz Road near Ohio Avenue at 11:54 a.m. when the crash occurred

Firefighters had to cut the driver of the glass delivery truck from the vehicle. That driver was then airlifted to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.

The semitrailer truck driver was not injured.

The accident remains under investigation.
