Grains mostly higher, Livestock mixed
CHICAGO (AP) - Grain futures were mostly higher Thursday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade. Wheat for Sep. was up 13.75 cents at $8.0450 a bushel; Sep. corn rose 16 cents at $6.11 a bushel; Sep. oats fell 12.75 cents at $4.47 a bushel; while Aug. soybeans gained 16.25 cents at 15.89 a bushel.
Beef was lower and pork higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
Aug. live cattle was off .35 cent at $1.3632 a pound; Aug. feeder cattle fell .40 cent at $1.7792 a pound; Aug. lean hogs rose 1.77 cents at $1.2027 a pound.
