Save-A-Pet to hold inaugural casino night fundraiser

Put your gambling face on while enjoying Las Vegas-style excitement at Save-A-Pet's inaugural Aces for Animals Casino Night fundraiser from 7-10 p.m. Friday, June 16, at the Arboretum Club in Buffalo Grove.

Proceeds benefit Save-A-Pet, a 45 year-old nonprofit organization that rescues dogs and cats and operates a full-time adoption center in Grayslake.

Try your luck at blackjack, poker, roulette, craps, slot machines and more for a chance to earn chips that can be redeemed for raffle tickets. Take a chance with a 50/50 raffle while enjoying complimentary food and open bar from 7-8 p.m.

Highlights of the prizes, with some surprises, include sports memorabilia, destination days and two complementary tickets to Save-A-Pet's annual Tuxedo for Tails Gala in October.

Individual ticket prices are $100 and include one admission to Aces for Animals Casino Night, one 50/50 raffle ticket and $150 in play money/chips. Other ticket packages and sponsorship prices range from $190 to $1,500. Additional raffle tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20.

To purchase Aces for Animals Casino Night tickets, visit Save-A-Pet's website at www.saveapetil.org. The Arboretum Club is at 401 Half Day Road, Buffalo Grove. Tickets and sponsorships are tax deductible up to the value of the donation.

Save-A-Pet is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and has saved more than 62,000 animals and expanded thousands of families with the love of an adopted pet. Relying solely on donor generosity, Save-A-Pet, is one of the largest no-kill cat and dog rescues in Lake County, and costs more than $1,500,000 per year to operate.
