McShane Companies announce executive promotions

ROSEMONT - The McShane Companies announced Monday that Molly McShane has been named chief operating officer and Dan McShane named chief strategy officer. Both employees are based at the firm's Rosemont national headquarters.

Molly McShane will provide day-to-day leadership and management of The McShane Companies, focusing her efforts on long-term strategic growth and operational excellence, the company said in a news release. Dan McShane will coordinate strategic planning and risk management strategies within each of the companies. He will continue his role as general counsel overseeing legal matters on a national basis, the news release stated.

Both have been with The McShane Companies for many years. Most recently, Molly McShane served as chief investment officer of Conor Commercial Real Estate. She is a member of Conor Commercial's investment committee and the companies' boards of directors.

Dan McShane joined the firm as general counsel in 2005 and provides an in-house source of expertise for land and building acquisitions, real estate development activities, tenant leasing negotiations, property dispositions and insurance. He previously served in the real estate department of Chicago-based law firm Winston & Strawn.

He serves on the investment committee of Conor Commercial Real Estate and is vice-chairman of the companies' boards of directors.
