Santa Claus is coming to town - in a helicopter!

Sometimes reindeer need a break. Come see Santa fly into town via helicopter for the Schaumburg Park District's Santa's Flight, sponsored by Schaumburg Bank & Trust, a Wintrust Community Bank.

The event is set for 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., Dec. 4, at the Schaumburg Regional Airport hangar, 905 W. Irving Park Road. Santa's transportation is provided by Northwest Flyers, Inc.

"Where else can you see Santa arrive in a helicopter?" said Kathleen Benson, Bock Neighborhood Center manager and general program supervisor.

Participants should dress for the weather and bring cameras for their own Santa photos. Also featured will be music, games, crafts and personal visits with the Big Guy.

Cost is $12 per person for children ages 3 to 12 and $24 per person for participants 13 and older. Children 2 and younger are free, but must sit on an adult's lap.

Pre-registration deadline is Nov. 28.
