Antioch finishes with a Prairie Division winner

Logan Webber hit a 3-pointer and pulled in 17 rebounds to help Antioch produce a 63-54 victory over visiting Grant in a North Suburban Prairie boys basketball finale Friday.

Trevor Koch paced the Sequoits with 20 points, and Danny Brito had 14 as Antioch improved to 10-14 and 5-7.

It's the Sequoits' most wins since since 2005.

Antioch also got 10 points from Kyle Gofron, who played his first full game since the second game of the season. The three-year varsity starter has missed most of the season with a hamstring injury.

Grant (13-14, 8-4) led 27-24 at the half before the Sequoits produced 29 points in the fourth quarter.

John Kerr paced the Bulldogs with 14 points. Andy Kaye added 9 points for Grant, while Logan Lewis and Ben Kusiak each had eight.

Marian Catholic 61, Carmel 37: The host Corsairs lost their fourth game in a row, as the East Suburban Catholic Conference co-leaders cruised.

Marian Catholic (7-1 ESCC) led 13-6 after one quarter, 32-17 at halftime and 50-23 after three.

Carmel fell to 12-16 and 0-8.
