Rolling Meadows showcases its businesses in first expo

Rolling Meadows hosted its first business expo Saturday to connect local business owners with residents and one another.

"This is a great way to shop and learn about Rolling Meadows businesses in a relaxed environment," Martha Corner, the city's new business advocate, wrote in a memo to the city council in advance of the Rolling Meadows Business & Community Showcase at Rolling Meadows High School.

More than 35 businesses and community groups participated. They ranged from big to small, and from professional service companies to retailers. Many gave out flyers, samples and tchotchkes. Admission was free.
