Pruitt paces Carmel's fifth straight win

Carmel Catholic 58, Wauconda 35: Daija Pruitt scored a game-high 16 points, and Carmel Catholic's girls basketball team beat host Wauconda 58-35 Wednesday night for its fifth win in a row.

Carmel (5-1) also got 13 points from Ranya Jamison, 10 from Danielle Amato and 9 from Katie Lach.

Wauconda (3-2), which suffered its second loss in as many nights, was led by Allie Tylka with 11 points and Katie Rossetti with 9.
