Multiple pensions for retiring chief

It was with dismay that I read an article in your April 6 issue, titled "Lincolshire police chief to retire in June." The article went on to say that the officer had served with three different departments during his career. In my simple mind, that means we suckers - oops, taxpayers - will be paying for him to collect on three different pensions.

Thanks but no thanks. As soon as I retire, I'm out of Illinois, leaving someone else to pay for this mess. The last one to leave this once-great state, please turn off the lights.
