Eagle Scouts celebrated at Barrington church
Barrington Boy Scout Troop 10 will be celebrating a milestone of minting 150 Eagle Scouts. The ceremony is set for 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 24, at Barrington United Methodist Church, 98 Algonquin Road in Barrington. A welcome reception is set for 4 p.m. Troop 10 was started 93 years ago. "It's quite an achievement to have all these Eagle Scouts," said village board Trustee Ryan Julian, a former Troop 10 scoutmaster. Speaking at a village board meeting this week, Julian said his son is No. 97 on the Eagle Scout list. Barrington has four Boy Scout troops.
