Firefighters extinguish blaze at Geneva manufacturing plant

No injuries were reported from a fire in a Geneva manufacturing plant's exhaust vent Tuesday evening and the business was able to continue operating.

Geneva Fire Department officials said they were notified of the fire just after 8 p.m. and had the blaze extinguished by 8:45 p.m.

Fire officials said the fire was contained to an exhaust stack of an industrial furnace.

The company manufactures engine parts, according to its website.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

No damage estimate was available.

Workers were allowed to return to the facility later that evening, fire officials said.
