Grayslake Central 59, Richmond-Burton 12: The host Rams cruised in their season opener, holding the Rockets to 2 points in the second half of the nonconference game.

Jordyn Gosell and Kate Bullman each scored 16 points for Grayslake Central.

Wheeling 36, Round Lake 20: At Maine East, the Panthers dropped their season opener.

Samantha Nicoline led Round Lake with 8 points.
