Look to governors to lead
The late William F Buckley wrote "I would rather entrust the government of the US to the first 400 names in the Boston telephone directory than the faculty at Harvard." For the past 7 years, we have been lectured by a Harvard faculty member on how he would "fundamentally change the United States of America." The result? A New York Times poll revealed that 65% feel that our country is on the wrong track. Hillary's solution is to double down on Obama's failed policies and to copy his election strategy offering free stuff for votes.
With rare exceptions, the more liberal the state (Illinois) or country (Greece) the greater the financial problems. How long will it take New Yorkers to find another Giuliani to save their city?
Our country can do without another Clinton or Bush. Trump is a loose cannon, yet there is quality among the remaining Republicans, if they can avoid the circular firing squad. I prefer governors. with proven records like Christy and Kasich. Rubio shows promise, Cruz is popular with the toos. Others too moderate who sat on their too toos last time and cost us a qualified candidate - Romney The conservatives need to expand their appeal, the legal Mexicans waited their turn, work hard, are God fearing and productive. They should be republicans - welcome them.
Once elected, the winner should appoint cabinet members whose talents fit the task. Carly could head a task force to fight cyber threats, that's what happens in the real world. Let Gates do his job. Are we better off today than we were 7 years ago? Look at the NY Times poll numbers.
