I-90 reopens after crash near Barrington Road causes lane closures, injury

A 48-year-old Florida man was injured Monday in a four-vehicle pileup on the Jane Addams Tollway near Barrington Road in Hoffman Estates, authorities said.

The crash involving two semitrailer trucks and two passenger vehicles occurred about 5:44 a.m., in the westbound lanes of I-90, Illinois State Police Master Sgt. G. Minx said. The injured man was transported to a hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries, he said. No other injuries were reported.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, Minx said.
