Letter: Don't vote and watch the prices continue to rise

From what I have been hearing from the media, the current rate of inflation is about 8-10%. I know that this includes many factors, one of which is food prices. I want to emphasize that I am a flyer shopper and do most of my shopping at Jewel and Shop and Save.

On a recent trip, I was stunned at the prices on certain items. I want to preface this by saying I know that some of these prices may be higher or lower depending upon where and when you shop. The prices I'm using are from my own personal experiences. comparing what they were in the last year or so, to today, and the percent of increase. It's things I use regularly and am trying to as accurate as possible.

This does not include any percentage of change due to "sizeflation". This is what happens when inflation goes unchecked.

Gas prices have doubled. Dow Jones down from 36,952 to 29,273. A 20.7% decrease. This affects every single American if you have an IRA, a 401(k), Social Security or a pension that is vested in the stock market. New car prices up 13%. Used car prices up 30%.

But wait Medicare Part B is decreasing by a whopping $5.20 a month. "C'mon man you can do better than that." One month until you get to decide. If you don't vote, it will only get worse.
