Letter: Hypocrisy in Illinois

I disagree that Pritzker has done a good job for Illinois. Pritzker signed "Keeping Families Together Act" which prohibits law enforcement from coordinating with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, making Illinois a sanctuary state. This act protects illegal immigrants who can live and work in Illinois and have access to public help without any fears.

Now, Pritzker signed the gun bill and registry. Sheriffs and state attorneys from across the state have said they will not enforce the gun law and registry, saying it violates the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

People who came here illegally are rewarded and law abiding citizens in Illinois are being treated like felons if they do not register certain semi-automatic rifles. How does this make Pritzker a good governor?
