Deerfield 37, Lakes 36: At Lake Zurich, Kylie Jozwik scored 11 points for the Eagles, who fell just shy of their first win of the season.

Brittany Washington and Sara Smith had 8 and 6 points, respectively, for Lakes, which finished 0-5 in the Turkey Thriller tournament.

"Well, we gave ourselves a chance to win at the end of the game," Eagles coach Brian Phelan said. "Deerfield battled tonight. We are looking forward to starting conference play next week."
