Author Kent Nerburn presents 'Bridging Cultures on Sacred Land'

Acclaimed author Kent Nerburn will speak about chasms and connections between Native Americans and nonnative cultures in the United States. In this presentation, Nerburn will weave spiritual values, the sacredness of land, and Native American perspectives on the changing world. Nerburn has gained numerous awards for his books including: "Neither Wolf Nor Dog," "The Wolf at Twilight" and "The Girl who Sang to the Buffalo."

This program will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, at Stephen Persinger Recreation Center, 3507 Kaneville Road, Geneva.

This "Learn from the Experts" program will be for ages 18 or older. The registration fee is $20 per person.

"Learn from the Experts" programs are taught by experts in their respective fields and offer in-depth learning opportunities about our local ecology. The programs are offered through a partnership with the Forest Preserve District of Kane County, St. Charles Park District and Geneva Park District.
