Buffalo Grove passes $113.2 million budget
Buffalo Grove village board members passed the 2021 budget this week.
The $113.2 million budget includes $43.7 million for operations, a $1.9 million decrease, reflecting a reduction in the number of full-time equivalent positions by nearly 7%.
The budget also includes $17.2 million for capital expenses.
There will be no increase in the tax levy.
The village will collect $17.1 million in property taxes in 2021.
Finance Director Chris Black told the board, "As you all know, this has been a challenging budget to develop, based on the revenue losses that we anticipate in FY 2021, due to the continued impact of COVID-19."
