Local pairs team named national figure skating champs

Keenan Prochnow of Lake Zurich and Laiken Lockley of Arlington Heights were named the 2019 National Junior Pairs Champions at the National Figure Skating Championships.

Prochnow and Lockley have skated together for four seasons and are members of Team USA. They have been traveling internationally representing the United States for the last two seasons and have won the 2019 National Junior Pairs Championship held at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan.

They will do an exhibition skate for NBC Skating Spectacular to be aired on Feb 16. Their next goal is to place at Junior Worlds being held in Croatia in early spring.
