Fraud prevention seminar in Round Lake

A free, bilingual seminar on household budgeting and fraud prevention is set for Wednesday, March 28 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Round Lake Area Park District's Robert Rolek Community Center, east multi-purpose room, at 814 Hart Road in Round Lake. State Rep. Sam Yingling is teaming up with financial experts from Illinois Comptroller Susana Mendoza's office to host the event. Staff members from the comptroller's office will offer a presentation on household budgeting and preventing identity theft. Attendees will learn how to identify and prevent common financial scams, and have an opportunity to ask questions about credit, loans, mortgages and best practices for paying off debt.
