Woman enter plea in stabbings of 11-month-old boy, mother

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) - A 28-year-old woman has entered a plea in Allen County Superior Court in connection with the stabbings of an 11-month-old boy and the child's mother.

WANE-TV reports Thursday (http://bit.ly/2rHwbH1 ) that Taja McCarter pleaded guilty to aggravated battery and battery.

Authorities have said Keairrase Lee was holding Keonn Lee in February when they were attacked. The stabbings appeared to have followed an altercation between the two women.

The television station reports that as part of the plea deal McCarter can't be sentenced to more than 10 years.
