Letter: An untimely message
I think most people have read a "Christmas carol," or seen a movie version of it. One of the famous lines from Scrooge in that story is, "Are there no workhouses?" The Daily Herald printed a letter titled, "You should work for what you want." I am appalled at the letter, but I'm more appalled that the Daily Herald would print that letter at this time of the year.
I could go into a bunch of things that are wrong with that letter. I'll just stay with "merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.
