Winter storm warning starting tonight for suburbs

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for the suburbs starting at 6 p.m. today and ending midnight Monday.

Heavy snow is expected to start this evening and continue through Sunday evening.

The forecast calls for 8-12 inches of snow north of I-88.

The snow could lead to reduced visibility at times and hazardous travel, the National Weather Service says.
