Get foreign money out of U.S. elections

Campaign finance loopholes currently allow foreign-owned, foreign-controlled, and foreign-influenced corporations to funnel unlimited cash into U.S. elections.

Russia was able to take advantage of loopholes and pour money into the 2016 election.

Representative Jamie Raskin has introduced the "Get Foreign Money Out of U.S. Elections" bill to close these loopholes and protect our democracy from foreign influence. This bill would get foreign money out of U.S. elections by preventing foreign governments or companies from spending money in U.S. elections through corporate donations.
