Platzkonzert Germanfest opens in Hoffman Estates

Hoffman Estates' 12th annual Platzkonzert Germanfest kicked off Friday evening with a performance by The Musikmeisters and a sampling of German food and beer.

The festival continues from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday with entertainment from the Internationals, the Johnny Wagner Band and the HOTT Productions Dancers at the Village Green, 5510 Prairie Stone Parkway near the Sears Centre Arena.
