Harvest Christian dominates regional opener

Harvest Christian defeated West Carroll 69-29 in the opening round of the Class 2A Port Byron regional Wednesday night.

The Lions (26-4) will play for the regional title at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Alyssa Iverson led all scorers with 18 points. She also had 8 steals.

Grace Ringel just missed a double-double with 17 points and 9 rebounds. Elena Porrata added 13 points.

Crystal Lake Central 37, Huntley 34: The Red Raiders (7-20, 4-11) lost this Fox Valley Conference matchup despite 7 points from Kamsi Nwogu.
