Grains higher, livestock lower
CHICAGO (AP) - Grain futures were higher on Wednesday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade. Wheat for Mar. gained 46 cents at $8.5225 a bushel; Mar. corn was up 11.25 cents at $6.7250 a bushel; Mar. oats gained 24.50 cents at $6.7525 a bushel; while Mar. soybeans rose 39 cents at $16.59 a bushel.
Beef and pork lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
Feb. live cattle was off .27 cent at $1.4380 a pound; Mar. feeder cattle fell 1.67 cents at $1.6345 a pound; Apr. lean hogs lost 1.12 cents at $1.0995 a pound.
