Program highlights history of Grayslake's Center Street

The Grayslake Historical Society will host a program live on Facebook at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 14, exploring the history of some businesses, buildings and people on Center Street.

The program will feature the businesses on the south side of Center Street from the railroad tracks to Lake Street. It is a continuation of a previous program about the businesses on the north side of Lake Street.

Attendees can learn about the Opera House, the Grayslake bowling alley fire, The Electra restaurant fire and the old bank building.
