Get a better sports columnist

Bring back Rozner and Imrem to your sports lineup, I miss their insights, but why add Silvy? It's bad enough he's on ESPN-1000. While 670 The Score was covering breaking news about the Northwestern football hazing scandal and also making news by uncovering the baseball hazing, listeners to ESPN were learning about Silvy's trip to Italy. Really?

Then in his second column in the Daily Herald, Silvy knocks QB Jim McMahon, making it sound like he got injured on purpose and not giving him "superstar" status. He listed negatives about McMahon but omitted one extremely important fact: McMahon not only took the Bears to the Super Bowl, they won the Super Bowl under his leadership.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, the defense was outstanding, but did they win before or after McMahon? No. You need a superstar QB.

Big blunder to give print space to Silvy. Get a former Bears player to provide perspective. There's plenty of them around.
