Wauconda 57, Sycamore 30: At Marengo, Donovan Carter had 17 points (three 3-pointers), 6 rebounds and 3 steals, as the Bulldogs opened the 69th annual E.C. Nichols tournament with a win.

Nick Bulgarelli (5 rebounds) and Benji Chung (6 rebounds) added 8 points apiece for Wauconda (4-6), which snapped a four-game losing streak.

Marengo 56, Round Lake 25: At Marengo, the Panthers dropped their opening game in the 69th annual E.C. Nichols tournament.

Nick Pierre scored 8 points to lead Round Lake (5-7).
