Letter: More than a sports merger

Let's take a close look at former President Trump's reaction to the unexpected merger between the PGA and Saudi-backed LIV golf: "Great news from LIV golf. A big, beautiful, and glamorous deal for the wonderful world of golf. Congrats to all!!!"

There's a lot more going on here than just a sports merger. Trump's disgusting endorsement of this attempt by the Saudis to use their money to whitewash their blood-stained human rights record is immoral. Especially damning is that Trump completely ignores the fact that the families of 9/11 victims oppose LIV golf because of the involvement of Saudi operatives in the 9/11 attacks.

The fact that Trump stands with the Saudis rather than with the families of thousands of innocent Americans killed on 9/11 shows that Trump has no love or respect for American values, the Constitution or the millions of American soldiers, Marines and airmen who risk their lives to protect us.
