Hoffman falls to Marian Central

Despite being outscored 16-9 in the final quarter, Marian Central held off Hoffman Estates 57-44 in the third day of action at the McHenry Invite.

The Hawks (4-10) were led by senior guard Tayler William's 14 points, of which 12 came from four 3-pointers.

Sophomore guard Nora Thomas converted three from long range to finish with 11 points while junior Kate Mongold added 7 points and sophomore and Patricia Wadas 6 for the Hawks.

Hoffman is 2-2 in the invite with wins over Woodstock North and Round Lake and another loss to McHenry.
