Campaign waste

Learning that Gov. Rauner and J.D. Pritzker raised the monumental combined amount of over $144 million in campaign funds so far, no doubt we will be bombarded with an unprecedented amount of campaign advertising of all forms.

What a waste of money, especially if it is spent on negative attack ads that the public does not want to hear. Instead, I urge the candidates to make only positive ads giving us their agendas for solving our Illinois government problems.

Then I suggest they each donate at least half of those campaign funds to charity to help people in need and do some good with that money instead of wasting in on useless garbage. The candidate who does that will get my vote.
