Schaumburg library will host puppetry celebration May 6

Schaumburg Township District Library will host a World Day of Puppetry celebration from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 6, at the Central Library, 130 S. Roselle Road in Schaumburg.

Library visitors who wants to make their own puppets can do so from noon to 2:30 p.m. on the first floor. All will have the opportunity to display their work during the outdoor puppet parade, weather permitting, from 2:30 to 3 p.m.

The Melikin Puppets will present "Dragon Feathers" from noon to 1:15 p.m. in the Rasmussen Room on the second floor.

Dave Herzog will present "Dragon Days and Knight Time" from 1 to 2:15 p.m. in the KidsZone Program Room. A limited number of free tickets will be available in the KidsZone Department 30 minutes prior to each show.

No registration is required for any of these free events.
