Life imitating art

While watching last night's presidential candidates' debate, in an effort to preserve my sanity, I took an occasional break and switched back and forth to an unsettling 1943 movie called "Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man." After a few flips between the programs I realized that they were exactly the same theme: two unnatural, powerful creatures do exaggerated but attention-grabbing battle with little actual result. In the film, at least, the villagers eventually turn on both of them.
