Second man charged in Aurora seizure of weapons and drugs
A second man was charged Nov. 18 in the seizure of guns, drugs and thousands of dollars in cash and jewelry by the Illinois Department of Corrections and the Aurora Police Department, according to a Thursday news release from the Aurora Police Department.
The initial bust came during a parole compliance check Nov. 7 on the 1300 block of Solfisburg, the release said.
Thirteen new charges have been made against Isaac Echols, a 27-year-old Oswego resident.
Echols, of the 100 block of Oaklawn, was charged with three "Super-X' counts of manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, seven counts of a felon in possession of a firearm, one count of possession of a firearm without a FOID, one count of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance and one count of manufacture or delivery of cannabis, the release said.
"Super-X" felonies call for enhanced prison time upon conviction.
At the time of the bust, 13 felony charges were made against 23-year-old Terrell Alvarez, a resident of the Aurora home, according to the release.
After being taken into custody Nov. 18 at his home, Echols was taken to Kane County Lockup with a $2 million bail. Alvarez is also being held at Kane County in lieu of $500,000 bail.
