Benet holds off St. Viator
Benet, the No. 2 team in the Class 4A state girls basketball poll, got a good test from St. Viator on Wednesday night before prevailing 57-49 in Arlington Heights.
The Lions, who got as close as 4 points in the second half, were led by Joy Bergstrom's 22 points. The sophomore also had 4 rebounds.
Junior Aubrey Horbach added 14 points, 6 rebounds, 2 blocks, 1 steal for the Lions (10-14, 3-2) while sophomore Nora Ahram chipped in 9 points, 9 assists and 2 steals.
