Custodians, other District 15 workers with tentative deal

Palatine Township Elementary District 15 has reached a tentative agreement on a new contract with a union representing custodians and other workers. The Service Employees International Union Local No. 73 members are scheduled to vote on the proposed contract Monday, Dec. 11. It then would go to the District 15 school board for a vote. The SEIU represents custodians, maintenance employees, warehouse workers and mechanics. The SEIU contract expired July 1, 2017. Details are expected to be released this week, according to District 15. The district has yet to reach a deal with secretaries, nurses and other support employees in a different union.
