St. Alphonsus School stages 'Beauty and the Beast Jr.'
"Tale as Old as Time, true as it can be" is the opening line to the most popular "Beauty and the Beast" song that will be performed at St. Alphonsus Liguori School's Spring musical on April 22 and April 24. School kids from grades five throught eight will be performing and students in grades three and four are in the chorus.
Michelle Cecchin and Torrie Davia are both eighth-graders, who will be alternating between Belle and Mrs. Potts for each performance. Mason Hoffman, an eighth-grader, will be the Beast and Patrick Netolilcky, eighth grade, will be Gaston.
Through the wonderful assistance from St. Viator High School, Metropolis Theatre in Arligton Heights, and Center Stage Performing Arts Company in Des Plaines, the costumes and sets are wonderful and professionally presented to the audience.
Performance times are Friday, April 22 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, April 24 at 3 p.m.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 per child (13-4 years old) 3 and younger are free. Tickets are on sale at the school office of St. Alphonsus at 411 N. Wheeling Road in Prospect Heights.
